Real Time Astrology

So now that we are familiar with astrology let’s delve a little bit deeper into this topic for a minute.  Here in the United States we follow the Tropical astrology, which is based on your Sun sign (the position the Sun was in at the time of your birth).  The Tropical astrology is also based on a fixed position of the stars and planets, not following the movements in our skies.

ophiuchusUnfortunately, the Tropical astrology is outdated and not accurate anymore.  The Sun is no longer passing through the constellations in the same order or timing as it was 3,000 years ago.  At present our ecliptic passes through the boundaries of 13 constellations, the usual 12 and a new one known as Ophiuchus (or Serpentarius). Ophiuchus  is depicted as a man supporting a serpent, the interposition of his body divides the snake into two parts, Serpens Caput and Serpens Cauda. Ophiuchus, is located in a position near the center of the Milky Way galaxy.

The traditional dates for the Sun’s position in the Zodiac are not only out of sync with the actual sky, but they are artificially separated into 30-degree segments to make each sign last an average of 30 days. When in actually, the signs are anything but evenly distributed across the sky.  The sun spends the most time in Virgo for 44 days and the least time in Scorpio, for only 7 days.   Your horoscope is a sacred mandala of your time birth so it’s kinda important that you are reading the correct map to chart your course.astrology image

The revolution of the Earth around the Sun, and the revolution of the Moon about the Earth, cause the Earth to wobble about its axis of rotation, similar to the motion of a spinning top. This motion is called precession. It is the wobbling of the equatorial plane that causes the line of the intersection of the equatorial and ecliptic planes to move.  The intersection of these two planes determine where on the zodiac our spring and fall equinoxes occur. This line of intersection is said to precess or move around the zodiac because of the wobble.  So 2,000 years ago during the Spring Equinox the Sun was entering the Pisces constellation, but now during the Spring equinox it enters the Aquarius constellation.

Wait hold on…that’s not even all of it.  This also means that were Aries used to be the beginning of the astrological new year, according to the Sun’s journey, now the new cycle actually kicks off in Pisces.  Yep, that’s right. Pisces is no longer at the end of the wheel but at the beginning.  How is that for having your mind blown.  Oh.. so much has changed….  And why are we not being educated properly on what’s really going on in our skies?

There is a lot of incoherent and misleading information which unfortunately leaves room for error. One thing that you should also take into consideration is your moon sign (which is the position of the Moon during your time of birth).  It is the second most important placement in your natal chart, after the Sun.  Your personality is defined by your Sun Sign but the Moon rules your emotional nature.  The Vedic astrology goes by the Moon sign rather then the Sun sign as in the Tropical astrology.

Vedic-AstrologyVedic astrology is a little bit closer.  Their Siderael chart is closer to the actual movement of the Sun, but it is not 100% accurate as well.  Supposedly this is not new information.  Western astrology, Tropical,  is based on the seasons as opposed to the stars, as in Sidereal which is used by Vedic astrologers in the East.  Then there is Real Time astrology, otherwise known as Astronomy Astrology.  They follow a chart that is perfectly aligned with the actual movements in the sky as it is right now.  Not as                                                                 it was 3,000 years ago.

This leaving us with the question of what to follow as our true mandala.  What do I think?  I think that they are all relevant.  We are born into certain morphic fields and resonate with the people around us.  So if you were born in the West or to parents who follow the Tropical astrology you are already resonating with that energy.  Tribal conditioning is a strong force among us and it does influence your life more than you know.

Vedic astrology has been known to be more accurate and considered preventive astrology.  It can be very useful to use as a tool to look into the future and peer at the possibilities that can occur and best ways to prevent experiences we may want to avoid.  It’s all about how they read your chart.  It seems to be more action based on how you can navigate through life instead of how life is going to happen to you.  So if you are born in the East and are born into parents and a society whom believe in the Sidereal or Vedic astrology then that tribal conditioning also is influencing your life.

And if you align yourself properly with the real rhythm of the sun as in Real Time or Astronomy astrology then you will be more aware and more in sync with nature and I believe it will be the most accurate.

When people tell me their Sun sign I automatically convert their real sign in my head.  So for me, I am in Libra according to the Tropical astrology but Real Time the Sun was in the constellation of Virgo at the time of my birth.  So I would be a Libra-Virgo.  For me, when I do this it helps me to understand their personalities a little bit more because it’s almost as if that information is shining some light on the real nature of people.  Why not just go based off of the real one?  Because personally, I think it’s important to take into consideration the tribal influence which has conditioned a person most of their life.  You are also resonating with the cultural view that “I am a Libra” just by  born to parents and a society whom heavily believe in the Tropical astrology.  I know, I know it sounds all Matrixy but real life that’s how things are.  Your natal chart is basically a snapshot of the skies at your time of birth and that is the energy that you are bringing into this world.  Therefore it would be a really good thing to know what that image really looked like.

That is what you use your natal chart for.   Truth is we attract what we resonate with.  If you don’t take action in your life and just go with the flow sure, certain situations may seem like they just happen to you.  But if you can see what is coming ahead use the high points to your advantage and learn how to transition your way through the low ones then you have learned how to read your map and navigate through it.  And that is how you move through life with ease.  Never underestimate your power to create the best life possible despite your situation.  We create our destiny every moment with every decision we make, one at a time.  Don’t make it too confusing though.  Ask Eternal Spark or the Universe to show you what is relevant to you on your journey through life.

Aries Sun

According to the Tropical Astrology the Sun entered the sign of Aries on the Spring Solstice.  Aries is the wake-up call of the zodiac. In Aries the Sun is “exalted” in astrological terms, since its return to the point of the zodiac where dayarieslight begins to overcome the dark, is seen as the sun-god regaining his power and rising victorious to take control.  During ancient times the Spring Equinox marked the start of the New Year and festivities were held to honor the birth of new life and the new beginnings that lay in store.  The Ram became celebrated in the associated stars as a sacred symbol of resurrection, since its fleece, when horn, continues to grow and provides a constant, abundant supply. Its origin is Egyptian and derives from their practice of sacrificing the sacred ram to the Sun at the Spring Equinox, to ensure his return and secure a successful year ahead. Christian customs still reflect this New Year worship, for Easter ~ the rising of the Lord ~ is always held in the week after the Full Moon that follows the Sun’s entry into this sign; and eggs are given as a symbol of new life and new opportunities.

Since Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and therefore a youthful sign, this influence is one of a childlike invincibility.  In Aries, the Sun is enthusiastic and spontaneous. We are motivated by the desire to conquer. We are more impulsive, and have the urge to initiate. We feel inspired to spontaneity, like we can do anything because we’re absolutely invulnerable and unshakable.  Aries is a sign that bounces back quickly so there is little shame with Aries. It is brave and pioneering, and somewhat innocent. We are direct and rather uncomplicated in our needs, but we can also be short-sighted and lack the desire to plan ahead.  Aries key phrase is “I am”.  It is the “bold pioneer”.

Being a Cardinal sign, it kicks off the biginning of a season.  Cardinal signs initiate change and bring new energy, a beginning, the start of a new phase.  These qualities are indicative of a forceful and dynamic, take charge and move ahead type of energy.

You can expect to start a million projects but may not necessarily complete them, save that for another sign.  The Ram plows head first into obstacles and plans with a blind fury and passion, pursuing an object feverishly but losing interest once the thrill of the chase wears off.  During this time of the Aries Sun take advantage of all this get up and go energy.  Accept challenges for the mere pleasure of trying to meet them.

Although ruled by the planet Mars, Aries has much to do with the solar qualities of creativity, energy, enthusiasm and courage. The Sun is the symbol of consciousness, individuality, clear direction and definition ~ the power of the will to rise above instinct and take control.

In addition to this solar quality, Aries resonates to the energy of its planetary ruler, Mars, recognized as the bringer omarsf action and the impulse to attack or strike back. Mars rules the physical and assertive nature, initiative, and sexuality.  It is the defiant spirit; when dignified it will show courage, fearlessness, respected leadership, the propensity to take a risk and the lover of a challenge. In this form Mars is the moral champion, ready to take up arms on behalf of others less able or willing to put their necks on the line. When poorly placed and displaying its less noble traits, it represents needless aggression, violent eruptions, assertiveness to the point of selfishness, and the urge to take from others without due regard to their needs and well being.

One of the three Fire sign Aries is hot and heats things up quickly.  The gift of the fire signs is creative inspiration, evolving into an endless supply of bright ideas and contagious enthusiasm. When the fire is lit, ie., when they are motivated by a cause, they simply blaze with energy and ideas and become so consumed by their passions that everyone around them feels drawn into the flame. But fire consumes, and ultimately those energy levels will drop, particularly if the Aries inclination for instant action is not matched by the reality of instant results.

Aries rulership with Mars and natural association with the Sun makes this Fire sign a flaming force to be reckoned with. It’s like a triple flame that’s ready to strike at any moment.  Watch your emotions during this time and how you react to others.  If you are enraged and feel the urge to fight, question: are you fighting the right person over a matter of significance? Or is there a larger, more relevant battle that you should be dedicating your time and energies to, the battle for truth, honesty and, self-respect?

Aries governs the head and face.

Positive Traits of Aries: adventurous, energetic, pioneering, courageous, enthusiastic, confident, dynamic, and quick-witted

Negative Traits of Aries: Selfish, quick-tempered, impulsive, impatient, foolhardy, and daredevil
