Mango Protein Smoothie

mango smoothie

Ok, so we just received our order of Juice Plus. YEAY! Now to get it down my 7 year old’s mouth without him realizing it’s in there… We tried it in his juice but it was too grainy and he didn’t like the way it tasted in his mouth. So now what?

I think its smoothie time.

“So why not just skip all this and give him the gummies instead?”  It’s because there are less ingredients which go into making the pill and we choose to eat as simple as possible.

Mango Breakfast smoothie mix

  •  One heaping scoop of the vanilla flavored Sun Warrior Protein Powder.
  • Flesh of 1-2 mangoes
  • 1 banana cut in pieces
  • water
  • Acai powder superblend mix

Ok, so here is the trick. It’s all in the technique baby, it’s all in the technique.

  1.  Add your scoop of protein powder first.
  2. Next add your fruit.
  3. Add only a little bit of liquid, enough to prevent your motor for running out.
  4. Literally press every single button on that darn thing a couple times each to get it really nice and blended.
  5. Next add the rest of your water.
  6. Do the special trick of pressing all the buttons again. Use a large spoon to scrape any powders that gets stuck on the walls of the blender. You want it all to get mixed real nice and good.
  7. Add ½ tablespoon of the Acai powder.
  8. Blend one last time and walla! Breakfast…
  9. Once in a cup I then opened the Orchard Blend capsule from Juice Plus and mixed it with a spoon.

You may wish to freeze the banana and add it in frozen but don’t have to. Always add cold water.

The Acai powder contains antioxidants, omega fatty acids, and amino acids. The Sun Warrior Protein powder blend has your soy-free complete protein and essential amino acids. And with the Orchard Blend from Juice Plus it contains 9 whole food fruit servings without the sugars!
